Ali Bovis is a children’s writer and lifelong altruist. Her debut chapter book series, Sylvie, released in 2020, published by ABDO books. A Georgetown University graduate, Ali grew up in New York City and now lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband, two children, and two playful poodle-mixes. Like Sylvie, Ali is always dreaming up ways to make a difference in the world. Prior to writing for children, Ali served as Director of Corporate Affairs and Philanthropy for Polo Ralph Lauren. Ali has also worked or volunteered for numerous government, political, and nonprofit organizations including the White House, the United States Senate, three presidential campaigns, and Special Olympics.

1. I lived in Florida for ten years and one of my favorite places on the planet is the top of Big Thunder Mountain RailRoad roller coaster at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom.
2. I believe few cities are as awesome as NYC. If you ever visit, don't miss my favorite spots: Central Park, The Mid-Manhattan Library on 42nd Street, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, JG Melon, and Dylan's Candy Bar.
3. I have a group of writing partners. We work together almost every day. Most of them are very accomplished children's authors. Two of them are not- they are my dogs, Janie and Ellie. Janie and Ellie are not the best editors, but they are great listeners!
